EveryBlackGirl Inc. organizes and provides programming to address the conditions that cause Black Girls to be pushed out of schools and become at risk for arrest, confinement and incarceration. Specifically, EveryBlackGirl, Inc. is interested in creating change to prevent: disciplinary referrals, suspensions, and expulsions of Black Girls; state and interpersonal violence; anti-Blackness and invisibilization of Black Girls. EBG, Inc. is a member of the following campaigns: Police Free Schools, Raise The Age ; the Youth Participatory Action Research Project; and removing the SC Disturbing Schools Law. EveryBlackGirl, Inc. has leadership programs for youth and adults (Legends in the Making for youth; Legends, Leaders, and a Restorative Justice Fellowship for adults). There are regular community and skill building, and community service programs for Black Girls ages K-12. Youth who do not identify as Black Girls but who support the EveryBlackGirl, Inc. mission are welcome and attend programs. EBG, Inc. youth development includes service learning trips within the US and abroad. EBG hosts conferences. Finally, EBG provides crisis response for Black girls and their families.
