Friends of Sesqui was formed in 2011 to aid Sesquicentennial in all park improvements and promotions as a result of South Carolina state legislature requiring all state parks to be self sufficient in their funding. Friends of Sesqui has added improvements such as: an outdoor education classroom, ADA sidewalk to the historic CCC spillway, a dog park shelter, bike repair station and more. We also host community events including: concerts in the park, recycle day, volunteer days, 5k races and more. We continue to strive to provide park enhancements to improve park amenities for all people.
