The SCNF administers several scholarship programs as well as the premier nurse recognition program in SC, Palmetto Gold Nurse Recognition and Scholarship Program. Over the last 9 years the Foundation has given over $4 million dollars in scholarship support to undergraduate and graduate nursing students. Research grants and Healthy Community grants are also administered as funding permits. The SCNF works closely with all SC schools of nursing as well as nursing employers to assure the advancement of nursing. Funds generated through the MIdlandsGives campaign will be used to assist the SCNF to increase scholarship support to student nurses, provide research and healthy community grants, as well as raise public awareness of the impact nurses have on building healthy communities.
