Youth Corps is a dynamic, life-changing leadership training and workforce development experience for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students in Richland and Lexington counties. One of the greatest needs in a young person's life is the need for vision, especially a vision for leadership. Leadership is an overlooked need in our society, but if we wish to positively set the direction of our schools, neighborhoods, and community, it starts with the next generation. In Youth Corps students start their own businesses, help to pass an actual bill at the State House, help victims of crime, work with local nonprofits, and much more as they transform into leaders and engage with our community. Student after student has stated, "This year was life changing for me!"
