C A Johnson High School Alumni Association

About this Organization

We support not only C. A. Johnson High School, but the feeder schools as well. The Alumni Association has made financial support to W. A. Perry Middle with school supplies for eighty children, annual prom for ten families over 4 years and Black History Month volunteers to name few statistics. We donate school supplies, assist with field trips as well as student socials. We participate in food and clothes drive to help needy students. The association is available to support Watkins-Nance Middle School and Carver-Lyon Elementary School. Our top focus is C. A. Johnson High School. We assist student-athletes with equipment and uniforms. We sponsor teacher appreciation events, as well as provide scholarships for deserving high school students. More importantly, we advocate for the needs of our schools and community to ensure their existence far into the future. We partner with organizations that share our interest in the schools and the communities in which they are located. As the only Historically Black African American High School in Richland School District One we advocate for its survival by identifying issues than may negatively impact the school's mission to provide excellence
