Alaina Coates FAAM Foundation

About this Organization

We believe that it takes a village to raise a child, to build strong families and to unite communities; therefore, our direction involves focusing on four key components-FAMILY, ACADEMICS, ATHLETICS, and MENTORING-to emphasize the importance of forming a village and creating a solid foundation for long-term success. Investing in our youth is the catalyst that will lead to progressive families and communities. The FAAM Foundation's desire is to produce a measurable and impactful difference in the lives of the people we serve through programs and events that support our four modules of focus (FAAM). Our vision is to foster a commitment to programs and audiences that have an apparent need for the programs and services we aim to provide, which in most cases, will encompass underserved and under-represented populations. The FAAM Foundation was formed in direct response to 1) the concern that the Palmetto state has a large percentage of teenagers and young adults who face struggles and multiple issues; from education and health to poverty and jobs, and 2) the founder's genuine passion for service and her personal testimony of the significance that a devoted village can lend to the success of an individual.
