Fact Forward envisions a world where all youth and young adults are healthy and have bright, self-determined futures.? Fact Forward has led the statewide effort to advocate for adolescent reproductive health since 1994. Due in part to our work over the past 30 years, the teen birth rate in South Carolina has declined by 73%, but there's still more work to do. STIs and unintended pregnancies among young adults have increased. Our Care Values include, 1. Centering youth and young adult voices in program design and implementation. 2. Developing safe and thriving communities that respect all youth/young adults and whom they hope to be. 3. Advancing evidence- and practice-based approaches to sexual and reproductive health for youth and young adults. 4. Ensuring equity in policy, programmatic, and clinical approaches to sexual and reproductive health. 5. Promoting systems that ensure access to culturally responsive, youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health education and services.
