Programs sponsored by the South Congaree Pine Ridge branch of the Lexington County Library system are multifaceted reaching all age groups. Programs are provided for children, youth, adults and senior adults. The highlight of our year is to sponsor the kickoff event for the Summer Reading Program. Each June we celebrate reading, and patrons, especially the children, are engaged in contests and events to build their reading skill. Prizes are awarded for number of books read and activities attended. Christmas is also a highlight for the year when the kids come for Storytime with Santa. Pictures are taken and children receive a book from the Friends and the library staff.
