Since Home Works was founded 29 years ago, more than 56,000 volunteers have repaired the homes of more than 4,000 low income neighbors in need, bringing hope to the vulnerable and strengthening communities through service.
At every Home Works repair effort, compassion meets construction.
The homeowners who qualify for Home Works repairs are on a fixed low income and thus unable to complete needed modifications to their home. Health and safety repair needs often include new ramps or stairs, repaired or replaced roofs, patches in holes or walls, yard overgrowth clear out, flooring repairs, and more.
Home Works youth and adult volunteers complete repairs at no cost to each homeowner and come from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels, often learning valuable new skills at our one-day repair efforts. Homes are physically repaired, and volunteers and homeowners forge new relationships with neighbors they may not otherwise have met. We are honored to empower community members to serve and continue to bring hope through home repairs.
