Welcome to Hoppy Hearts SC! We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization in South Carolina. Our mission is to improve the lives of domestic rabbits and our community by means of education about house rabbits and their proper care, by rescuing and adopting out abandoned rabbits, and providing rabbit therapy visits to assisted living facilities and other community organizations.
We provide a Basics of Bunny Care Bunny 101 class and a Bunny Health Bunny 102 class, both in person and online. These classes are for anyone interested in learning about bunnies and their care. We are happy to have anyone in the class who currently has companion bunnies, as well as potential future adopters (from any rescue) or those just interested in learning more. We also are happy to give these classes to shelter and rescue groups. We are working on additional class offerings, including Bonding Bunnies.
We also work to rescue and adopt out homeless bunnies. To help with this, we are building a network of foster homes throughout the state of South Carolina to help us rescue more bunnies. Our goal with this foster home network is that rabbits rescued by Hoppy Hearts can be placed into a home environment while waiting for their forever homes, rather than in a more stressful shelter environment.
We are available to help with bonding and bunny behavior issues also.
Hoppy Hearts SC also can provide animal assisted interactions with some of our bunnies to assisted living facilities and other community organizations.
