We are dedicated to increasing the number of scholarships available to high school graduates and supporting the operational needs of our organization. The funds raised through Midlands Gives will play a vital role in helping us achieve this mission. Our organization was founded in memory of Minister Landrum E. Washington, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on May 8, 2007. We honor his legacy by offering scholarships and other educational opportunities to deserving students. To date, we have awarded over 75 scholarships to high school seniors, and we have also established an endowed memorial scholarship fund in Minister Washington's name at Benedict College. This fund supports students pursuing degrees in Music or Religion, with applications available annually.
