Now in its 41st year, the Orangeburg Part-Time Players is a self-supporting, all-volunteer organization. We have been a performing arts pillar of the community by offering live theater and supporting other grassroots arts organizations in the region. In addition to live theatrical performances, the OPTP also sponsors movie screenings and music "jams", and hosts a variety of community activities, including pageants, concerts, weddings and more at its theater home, the historic BlueBird Theatre in downtown Orangeburg. The OPTP depends solely upon the support of our members, patrons and contributions from the community. Funds raised will help us maintain the BlueBird Theater (over 100 years old) that we own outright so that we may continue to provide diverse, high-quality entertainment for our community to enjoy for many years to come.
