Saluda Shoals Park, established for public use in 1999 by Dominion Energy, the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission (ICRC), and the Saluda Shoals Foundation, is a public-private partnership dedicated to the preservation and protection of the multi-county Lower Saluda Scenic River Corridor. The park, one of five recreational facilities managed by ICRC, is a 480-acre environmental park located on the banks of the Saluda River. The park provides public river access for fishing and boating; 10-miles of paved and unpaved trails for walking, hiking, and biking; picnic shelters; a playground and splash pad; six multipurpose athletic fields; a tennis complex; an Environmental Education Center; the River Center conference facility; and Leo's Landing, our universally inclusive playground!
