The purpose of the organization is to provide temporary housing and stabilization services to the homeless (men, women, and their children). Services include but are not limited to, personal and professional development, vocational development, interpersonal skills development, community involvement, independent living preparation, educational assistance, health care, financial literacy, and spiritual enrichment. The ultimate goal is to provide stabilization services that support and guide residents to obtain stable housing and achieve greater self-sufficiency. We have developed collaborative relationships with service agencies to include Vocational Rehab, Job Service, DSS, Alcohol & Drug, Mental Health, Orangeburg Calhoun Tech., Free Medical Clinic, Hope Health Clinic, Habitat for Humanity, and Legal Aid who will provide on-site and off-site services for our residents. Our collaborative goal is self-sufficiency and housing stabilization. TSH is the ONLY shelter in the Tri-County of Orangeburg, Bamberg, and Calhoun counties that provides shelter to the homeless. We have a 55-bed capacity (24 women and 31 men capacity). We accept adult men, women and their children.
