Scrub Life Cares is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting health equity and empowering women and girls in underserved communities. Our mission focuses on addressing period poverty, providing comprehensive reproductive and sexual health education, and fostering safe spaces for open conversations to eliminate stigma around menstruation and hygiene.
At the heart of our organization is our Grow With the Flo program, which operates in two key areas: Grow With the Flo Afterschool Program and Grow With the Flo Community Program. The Afterschool Program is designed for female students aged 9-18 who come from households living below the Federal Poverty Line. We provide participants with menstrual and hygiene products, teach life skills, and host special guest presenters to educate and inspire. This program not only equips students with essential knowledge about menstrual health but also fosters confidence and self-empowerment. The Grow With the Flo Community Program extends our mission to the broader public. By hosting health workshops, expos, and educational sessions, we raise awareness about menstrual equity and reproductive health.
