The Marley Project, Inc. was founded in 2002 as a Service Organization and received our IRS 501(c)(3) designation in 2015.
We have a rich history of community service in our area. In 2003, we organized the Kershaw County Patriotic Rally to benefit local family members of deployed military with all proceeds distributed through the Kershaw County United Way. We have partnered annually with the Kershaw County Humane Society through the Food Truck Fest with all proceeds to benefit the Thiel Meyer Adoption Center. We typically host several Marley's Literary Fest events throughout the year. We began hosting the EQUUS Film and Arts Fest Camden Tour Stop in 2016 as an annual fundraising event to bring awareness about equine issues to the local community.
Our work focuses on building your mental tools (think patience, problem-solving, anger management), raising your pressure threshold (learning to handle more pressure), and building your muscle memory toward AlphA Mindset. Our core values include service to others, collaborations between horses and humans and empathy as our participants are self-empowered to serve as the authors of their own stories.
